We specialize in precise detailing, pursuing craftsmanship with unique envelope systems and traditional siding methods.
ENVELOPE
Westmont’s carpenters are technically trained and experienced in building envelope and specialized glazing systems. Work is carried out to ensure assemblies are correctly detailed, properly sealed, and aligned with best practices for climate control and long-term building performance.
Envelope installation includes house-wrap, rainscreen, cladding, trim, and modern high-performance systems. Each stage is approached with an understanding of sequencing, material behavior, and the role each component plays within the overall assembly.

Preparation establishes the base for the envelope system and supports airtight performance.
Substrates are reviewed, corrected, and, where required, fitted with strapping or other supports for cladding and finishes. Vapour barriers are installed with continuity in mind, using roll-on membranes or adhesive peel-and-stick products, with crews experienced in the full range of current airtight technologies.
Window installation is carried out by trained crews, integrating units carefully into the envelope for long-term durability and climate control.
We’re experienced in specialized glazing systems and architectural finishes
Glazing systems are installed by trained crews with experience in both standard and specialized applications. Units are set, sealed, and integrated with surrounding envelope components to maintain performance and continuity.
